Food Pantry Guidelines

The Greater Marietta Community Food Pantry (GMCFP) has been serving families in need for 41 years. Our greatest mission is to eliminate hunger by serving families in our community who suffer food insecurity with dignity and compassion.

Families in need can receive food assistance one time per month (every 30 days) plus one emergency visit for a total of 13 visits per year.

Food pick up is located at our facility: 635 State Route 821 / Complex #1, Building 3 / Marietta, Ohio 45750 (open directions)


What to expect when you arrive

When you arrive, a volunteer will verify your information (see information below on what to bring with you). Families will receive approximately two (2) weeks worth of food, consisting of the following food and non-food items:

  • Meat/fish

  • Box(s) of canned goods

  • Dry goods

  • Dairy

  • Produce

  • Bread & Bakery

  • Frozen foods

  • Non-food items such as toilet paper, hygiene products, etc.

  • When available, holiday food is distributed.


To make your visit easier, please note the following:

New Clients

During your first visit, you will also need to bring identification for every member of your household. Acceptable ID’s include:

  • Driver’s license

  • Student ID

  • Library card

  • Birth certificate

  • Social security card

Returning Clients

At each visit, clients are required to bring the following items:

  1. A picture ID (Typically state issued). This can be a driver’s license, state of Ohio ID, or library card.

  2. Proof of residency in Washington County, Ohio. For example, a utility bill or a piece of mail with your name and current address.
